Topics in Depth 3: Angles - the basics

Planning, sequencing, language, history, misconceptions and resources about the basics of angles with me and Jo Morgan

Course overview

For this short course, I am joined my maths teacher, author and blogger Jo Morgan (@mathsjem) to discuss the topic of angles.

Jo takes us through what students are taught, when they are taught it, the associated language, the key misconceptions, and some of the best resources around to give your students the best chance of understanding this area of maths.

I hope this course allows you to reflect on your teaching of angles, but also planning in general - it certainly did for me.

This course works well if taken individually, but would be super valuable if you could do it with a colleague or a group of colleagues, reflecting on each of the key points raised.

This course is completely free. You just need to register, which will mean your progress through the course is saved, allowing you to pick off exactly where you left off on any device at any time.
